Koh Li Pe is a small island in the Southern part of the Andaman sea. It is located in Satun Province, close to Langkawi island (Malaysia).Koh Lipe's main beach is a large sheltered bay with soft powdery sand, crystal clear blue water .
Koh Li Pe has some great snorkeling straight off the beach, but the best things can be seen on a snorkel trip to the surrounding islands.
Koh Li Pe : The name Koh Li Pe,in sea dwellers language,means paper.This is becuase all of area on the island is flat,so it is pretty easy to walk from one beach to another around the island.
Koh Li Pe is the center of traveling for those who wants to visit Mu koh Adang-Rawi.From here.travelers might hire the whole boat to nearby islands. It is possible to cover these islands within one day.
Things to do on the island
There are many great sites for scuba diving and snorkelling around Ko Lipe and its neighbouring islands. On Ko Lipe there are many dive shops and resorts that rent out snorkel gear or arrange boat trips
Traveling to Koh Li Pe : Take passenger boat from Pakbara Port to Koh Li Pe.The journey takes about 2 hours.
Pak Bara is the main terminal for ferries to Koh Lipe, with boats running all year, and up to 8 boats a day in high season! From November until May you can reach Koh Lipe from several places along the Andaman Sea: Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Langkawi, Trang, and many more.

ReplyDeleteHi.. my friend has suggested for us to go to pak bara, satun.. i was told it's a good snorkeling place.. i tried to google but it the result keep giving me info about koh lipe.. is it related / in 1 place?
